            Apple skins are rich in soluble fibre which helps maintain healthy gut bacteria. They are also packed with Vitamin C. Cinnamon is a warming and stimulating spice with antiseptic and antiviral properties. It is also a useful spice to help regulate insulin and blood sugar levels. Oats are a great source of soluble fibre for weight control and gut health and are also rich in protein, B Vitamins and beta-glucan; a fibre for blood pressure management.

          Baked apple with cinnamon

           

           

           

           

          A satisfying and tasty pudding, low in saturated fat and sugar.

          A good option for Diabetics.

           

          1. Preheat oven to 435 degrees F
          2. Wash apples and remove the cores
          3. Cut out the middle of the apple with a paring knife
          4. In a small bowl, combine the oats, almond butter and cinnamon.
          5. Stuff the mixture into the apples
          6. Place in baking over and cook at 425 degrees F for 20 minutes
          7. Leave to stand for 5 minutes
          8. Sprinkle added cinnamon over the top before serving.
