        How many times have you tried to manage your weight but given up because:

        • You feel it is too difficult?
        • You believe that you have to give up all the nice food?

        What causes us to be overweight? Is it simply too much food? Or our life style or maybe even something genetic?

        Is there a magical secret that enables you to gain your ideal weight and remain there without a life time of dieting and calorie counting?

        Most weight loss programmes are designed to place the focus on food by concentrating on what you can and can’t eat or counting those calories.

        This potentially creates a damaging and unhealthy relationship with food.

        The Brighton and Hove Weight Management programme has been developed by Nutritional Therapist Lucy McCrickard from LGM nutrition and motivational coach and hypnotherapist Marco Anholts from OpenMindz to show you that managing your weight is not about dieting or depriving yourself from the things you love.

        The key ingredient to getting into shape is your attitude and mind-set.

        It’s about re-training your thinking, increasing your confidence and motivation, allowing you to develop a new attitude towards food and eating habits that suit your individual health requirements.

        This approach creates sustainable results; forever!

         What will the course involve?

        The 6 week course will comprise 2 hours sessions weekly, conducted in small groups.

        Each week the session will cover.

        • Coaching: covering topics such as commitment, goal setting, coping mechanisms, self-esteem, confidence, motivation, making and breaking habits and maintenance.
        • Nutrition Seminar:  exploring a range of relevant topics, starting with the basics of nutrition, the chemistry of food, the impact of daily stressors on our hormonal health, digestive wellness, fuelling for exercise, coping with eating out socially, and supporting your immunity.

        Every session we will also take time to discuss topical issues relating to weight management.

        Each participant will also be offered a one hour 1:1 consultation with both Lucy and Marco to work with you individually to understand your specific health history, objectives and the barriers which are currently preventing you from achieving your weight management goals.

         The 6 week programme will cost £425* which will include:

        • 6 x weekly 2 hour group seminars and workshops
        • Small groups to ensure maximum interaction and better personal support.
        • One hour private consultation with Lucy (Nutritional Therapist)

        Where will it be held?

        We will be running the groups at the Brighton Consulting Rooms, 18a Clermont Road, Brighton BN1 6SG. This is just a few moments’ walk from Preston Park Station, close to the A23 London Road and bus routes into both Brighton and Hove.         When?

        The New Year group has been delayed for a week because of the snow and now starts on Tuesday 29th January from 1830hrs to 2030hrs and will be run for six consecutive weeks until Tuesday 5th March.
