A DELICIOUS D.I.Y HEALTHY SNACK
Try these tasty apple cinnamon crisps.
Take 2 Granny Smith apples, core them and slice very thinly (1-2mm thick) through the equator. Dust with cinnamon and lay flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Heat the oven to 160C/140C fan/ gas mark 3. Cook for 45 minutes – 1 hour, turning halfway through and removing any crisps that have turned brown.
Continue cooking until the apples have dried out and are light golden. Cool, store in an airtight container and enjoy as a delicious snack.
HEALTH NOTE:
Apples are rich in fibre, Vitamins A & E, and the cinnamon is great for balancing your blood sugar.
